Lakshmi Subramanian, The Scholar Musician and the Seni Ustads: Exploring and exhibiting the Birendra Kishore Roy Chowdhury Collection (2017). This is a catalogue of an exhibition curated by Lakshmi Subramanian out of th extensive collections of notes, musical notations, books, journals and photographs of the Scholar-musician, Birendra Kishore Roy Chowdhury, that has been donated to the institution by his daughter, Rani Ray. The exhibition was inaugurated in he galleries of the JBMRC on 6th December, 2017 with an inaugural function, and ran from 6th to 20th December, 2017

Tapati Guha Thakurta, The City in the Archive: Calcutta’s Visual Histories (first published, 2011, revised edition, 2016). This is a catalogue of the CSSSC’s archival exhibition of that was first mounted at Seagull Arts and Resource Centre in July 2011, and travelled to IIC, New Delhi in March 2012. The exhibition was expanded and placed on display as the first exhibition in the new exhibition galleries of the JBMRC, and remained on view from 16 December 2016 to 31st January 2017.
